About

CADSAS (Cranbrook and District Science and Astronomy Society) is a society for people interested in Science and Astronomy, who live within reach of Cranbrook Kent.

The Society was founded in 2006 and is based at Cranbrook School.

We are very fortunate to have use of the School’s purpose-built Observatory building. This is equipped with several telescopes, including the large and historic, 22.5 inch Alan Young reflector.

We welcome anyone who just wants to “have a look” and find out if it’s for them. So please get in touch, if you are at all interested.

Don’t feel you have to join immediately – come along to a meeting or two and see if you like it!

The annual membership subscription is £20, payable on 1st January. If you join after 1st September, it’s just £5 for the remainder of the year.

To join, use the JOIN PAGE. You can use PayPal, or download and print a form and post a cheque.

Please note, there is a small charge to non-members (£3 usually) for the bigger events. This is clearly stated (if relevant) on the events listing page.
